They are the five core values head coach Chris Ash said he’s building his Rutgers football program on, and they are the five core values he impressed upon the Greater Middlesex Conference scholar-athletes at the Jay H. Dakelman Scholar Athlete Banquet.
“Those words, those five core values, are very easy to put on a sign and slap on a wall,” Ash said. “It’s very difficult to do. And if you can instill those five core values in your daily habits and everything you do when you get out of bed, your chances for success are going to improve, and you’re going to have a chance to go on and do great things in your life.”
