The last time Sayreville head coach John Wojcik was in the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament final, he played in it. Wojcik was a freshman when the Bombers won their only GMC Tournament title back in 2000. Fast forward 17 years, and Wojcik had brought his team back to where he knew it belonged.
After taking over the program eight years ago, Wojcik has been working to make sure the expectation of winning has been ingrained in his players. After winning a combined 16 games in his first two seasons, Sayreville started the upward climb and advanced to the GMC Tournament quarterfinals and semifinals numerous times.
