EDISON — The South Brunswick second-doubles team of Ashi Yadav and Sneha Rampalli knew they needed to use strategy in the final round of the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament against J.P. Stevens on Tuesday.
The move turned out to be a successful one, and not only lifted Yadav and Rampalli to victory, but also South Brunswick.
The GMC Tournament came down to the second-doubles final between Yadav and Rampalli and Ishani Kulkarni and Jessica Ho of J.P. Stevens. Yadav and Rampalli prevailed, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, by having both of them stay at the baseline instead of having one at the net, and South Brunswick won the conference title with 42 points, four more than runner-up J.P. Stevens.
