The small-school Rams have posted some of the biggest upsets in conference tournament history, knocking off Sayreville one year when South River was seeded 20th and no-hitting a heavily favored Old Bridge squad a couple years later.

I’ve had good players and good relationships with my players. I’m proud that I’m in South River. Not many guys can say they played in their high school and went back to coach. I would never want to leave. I love coaching here. It’s a joy. I’ve got an outstanding group of kids this year.”
