“Hit king” is one of the best titles in sports. Colonia High School grad Andrew Niech earned it last week after becoming the all-time leader in base hits for the New Jersey City University baseball team.

The senior belted a two-run double in the fourth inning of a 13-7 loss to the College of Staten Island, his 200th hit over four seasons with the Gothic Knights. He’s the first player to reach that milestone in the 69-year history of the program.
